Animal Instinct

Let's talk about one of the hottest trends this season. Yes, it's animal print!

Animal prints are a great way to add some flair to your everyday style. They can be subtle and elegant, fun and flirty, or casual and cool. How you wear your animal print is up to you!

Leopard is a neutral in our books, and is always on trend. But whilst you will still see leopard everywhere, this Autumn Winter other animal prints are stepping to the forefront.

Snakeskin print and zebra print are particularly hot right now. You will also spot other animal prints like tiger stripes, ocelot spots and giraffe. Even cowhide print!

There is literally an animal print for everyone!

  • women who love classic black and white are covered with zebra

  • fans of more subtle prints will swoon over snakeskin

  • lovers of print clash are catered for with fabrics printed with mixed animal prints

  • ladies who adore colour will love the colourful versions of classic animal prints.

Here at Philosophy Australia, we have designed an amazing collection for AW19 entitled Instinct. Instinct is comprised of the following animal-inspired print stories:

  • Jumanji - a mixed jungle print featuring elements of snakeskin, leopard spots and brushstrokes in a violet and black based print.

  • Raquel - a gorgeous classic leopard with a Philosophy Australia twist, designed to flatter all complexions.

  • Allegra - an artistic fusion of zebra print and tribal elements

Here's what she had to say about animal prints:

"I designed extensively into a look I termed "sexy beast" which highlights animal prints, sharp and slimline silhouettes, slick fabrics with stretch and a strong aesthetic. Women are empowered and showing it!"
